Seed to tree

Hi

A few posts back I shared my first "primitive" woven hanging. As we say from one little seed does a tree grow and thence a forest. Or from little things do big things grow!

My first tree has now grown with the help of a more sophisticated loom - the Rigid Heddle. Here is the hanging! All 34" of it. I used this first sampler to experiment with loops, fringes and hem stitching.

My first hanging on Rigid Heddle loom.

Loving the texture of loops - different sizes.

A filet crochet pattern was used for this design.

Lovely variegated yarn adds texture and character.

I did enjoy the journey of learning and discovery in this hanging.  There are lots more adventures to come.

Enjoy your daily journeys and discoveries.

Love Cara
