Making Hands

Hi

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

This weekend has seen me continue to be busy making.

The joy of making - usually is down to our hands for execution. Pondering on the "makings" of the past few weeks, my hands feature prominently.

There's the bath rug, made with worn towels. The first and last rug that I'll crochet from towels; it's just too hard on your hands and arms. Hubby now is enjoying the super thickness of this rug every morning!

There's the basket made from half of a very colourful skirt from the 80's! Yes it has been lurking in my cupboards for quite a while for just this occasion. Quick and easy and very handy for crochet hooks, scissors, fabric strips etc. Edging is from a very purple sheet. Love my colours!

From this ...

Another basket, this time made from worn tea towels!.

Tea towels recycled
Is there nothing safe?! I must admit to slipping in between the sheets thinking, these would go towards making a new rag rug! Hubby is a little anxious that one day there'll not be a sheet left in the house.

Have fun - recycling, upcycling, making.

Love Cara
