Hearts & Boats

In March, I made a couple of cards using very different techniques.

The first card is a birthday card. Distress inks were stamped onto glossy card and sprayed with water to create the marbled effect. A die cut heart was cut out of watercolour paper and adhered to the glossy card. A spattering of ink was applied by flicking a paint brush. The finished piece was adhered to purple cardstock. The greeting "Joyeux Anniversaire" was stamped and embossed. Embossed heart stickers finished the card.

This was a quick and easy card to make. It would be fun to play with different colours too.

Birthday Card

The second card was for a work colleague to wish him all the very best in life. As he is keen on sailing and boats, I decided to use a nautical theme. I made the boat using origami paper and technique - the easiest one I could find!  Stamping was used for the cloud, waves, the numbers on the sail, the quote on the banner.

The message is "Hold on tight to your dreams".

Go well.
